LABOR WELCOMES CHILDCARE REGISTER ANNOUNCEMENT BUT 279,000 FAMILIES STILL LEFT WORSE OFF

Labor welcomes the online Child Care Enforcement Action Register.
But it does nothing to help the 279,000 Australian families who will be worse off under the Liberals’ new childcare changes.
The register should not be used as an excuse to avoid taking immediate action against dodgy operators.
Parents and families have a right to know that their children are getting the best possible care.
When centres aren’t abiding by strict guidelines to provide a safe and supportive environment for our children, it is completely appropriate they no longer receive Government support.
