TONY KEENAN leaving Launch Housing
SENATOR DOUG CAMERON
On behalf of the Labor Party I would like to place on record our appreciation and respect for the work of Tony Keenan, who has announced today that he is leaving the role of CEO of Launch Housing.
Tony has been CEO of Launch Housing since July 2015.
Launch Housing was formed through a merger of Hanover Welfare Services and HomeGround Services and Tony was CEO of Hanover since 2006.
Tony has had a long standing passion for community organisations and the important role volunteers and community members can play in mobilising around issues that affect them.
He has served as Chairperson of the Australian Foyer Foundation, President of the Victorian AIDS Council, national president of the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations and as a member of the Australian Social Inclusion Board.
Tony’s passion and focus on ending homelessness has improved the lives of countless people he has helped over many years and he has provided inspiration for others.
Tony’s advocacy and advice has been invaluable to successive Labor Ministers and Shadow Ministers in the housing and homelessness portfolio and we wish him well in his future endeavours.
