GROWING CALLS FOR ACTION TO FIX AGED CARE CRISIS

The Turnbull Government must listen to the growing chorus of peak bodies calling for action to address the crisis in Australia’s aged care system.
The Australian Medical Association is the latest group to call on the Turnbull Government to act.

After years of inaction, Australia’s aged care system doesn’t need more quick fixes from the Turnbull Government - it needs genuine reform backed by real investment.
The Turnbull Government’s top priority must be a real plan to address the waiting list for home care packages.
There are now close to 105,000 vulnerable older Australians, many with dementia or high care needs who are waiting for home care.
The Turnbull Government cannot continue to offer only piecemeal solutions for an aged care system in a deepening crisis.
Malcolm Turnbull must use the upcoming Budget to deliver for older Australians who have been forgotten under his Government.
The Turnbull Government has cut billions from aged care, seriously impacting on the quality of care older Australians receive.
The Government is still sitting on more than a dozen reviews and reports addressing the task of reforming aged care funding, workforce and quality of care.
The task of fixing Australia’s aged care system is critically important but sadly the Turnbull Government is not doing enough.
This isn't good enough - older Australians deserve better.
