SLOMO’S PRODUCTIVITY NO SHOW
MATT KEOGH MP
As the last sitting week before the winter recess draws to a close we continue to sit and wait for the promised GST Productivity Report.

As long as the Government continue to delay the release of the report, Western Australia and other states remain in the dark on our state’s GST distribution.

The Government’s refusal to release the Report is just a delay in helping the people of WA get a fair go.

Arrogant, out of touch Turnbull and WA Liberals have been exploiting WA for too long - saying one thing out West, and another in other states and territories.

Turnbull has broken his 2016 promise to deliver a GST floor for WA, instead giving only token top up payments worth only 3 cents in the dollar with no certainty around future funding. Even their infrastructure announcements turn out to be in the never never.

Turnbull and Morrison just can’t be trusted to deliver for WA.

A Shorten Labor Government, will implement a $2 billion fair share fund for WA, locking in a 70 cent GST floor equivalent for the state, to make sure WA gets its fair share.

When SloMo finally chooses to release the secret Productivity Commission Report Labor will consider the recommendations but regardless of that outcome, we will ensure no state is worse off.

Clearly Scott Morrison is hiding because he can’t say the same.

Only Labor is committed to giving Western Australia a fair go and deliver WA a fair share for local jobs, and better roads, hospitals and rail.
