$500,000 poured into Wine Export Grants

The Coalition Government is opening doors in China and the US for Aussie wine makers, by investing another $500,000 in the Wine Export Grants program.
Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources David Littleproud said the extra money would make it easier to sell Australian wine to our largest trading partners.
“Aussie wine is among the best and we want China and the US to know about it,” Minister Littleproud said.
“This will help our top wine producers jump export hurdles in both countries.
“Small and medium producers can claim up to $25,000 or 50 per cent of the cost of promoting their wine in either country.
“Our wine exports are worth more than any time in the past decade.
“We expect exports to China and the US to keep growing and these grants will keep us competitive.
“I am proud to back Aussie wine and I know it will be a hit in China and the US.”
The program is part of the Coalition Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package to showcase Australia’s world class wine industry and drive demand.
