MORE LIBERAL CLIMATE LIES

This morning on RN Breakfast Energy Minister Angus Taylor has once again repeated the lie that the Liberals will reach their inadequate emissions reduction targets.
Mr Taylor falsely claimed, “We are going to reach our carbon emissions reduction targets... we are well on track to reach Paris.”
Adding, "We are bringing emissions down, and we're doing extremely well."
In reality it is the complete opposite. Mr Taylor is ignoring his own Government’s latest emissions data which show that greenhouse gas emissions climbed 1.3 per cent - to their highest quarterly levels in eight years.
Mr Taylor needs to read his own Government’s data which shows that, under Scott Morrison’s hopeless climate change policies, carbon pollution will continue to rise all the way to 2030 (as far as the projections go).
But all we have heard from the out of touch Liberals again this morning was they are “absolutely considering” spending billions of taxpayers dollars on uninvestable “fair dinkum” new coal-fired power stations.
Australians deserve a Shorten Labor Government that will take action on climate change, and invest in a renewable energy future which will lower power prices and secure clean jobs.
