LIBERALS REFUSE 46 TIMES TO ‘FESS UP
JIM CHALMERS MP
Scott Morrison and his senior Liberals have refused to answer at least 46 times whether they’re spending $77 billion – or more – on tax cuts for the country’s highest income earners.

Mr Morrison, Josh Frydenberg, Mathias Cormann and Liberal Campaign Spokesperson Simon Birmingham have repeatedly ignored or dodged journalists’ questions on at least 10 separate occasions since the Finance Minister promised they’d cough up a number.

Senator Cormann told David Speers exactly a month ago today:

“Well, in dollar terms I’m happy to provide you with further detail…”

(Mathias Cormann, Speers on Sunday, 14 April 2019)

Given the repeated ducking and weaving, it’s clear the Liberals don’t want to admit how much they’re handing to the top end of town in tax cuts.

Since the Liberals first refused to answer, new independent modelling puts the cost at between $88 billion to $89 billion.

This is on top of the 250 times Morrison fought for his $80 billion big business tax cut while he was treasurer.

The Liberals can dodge, duck and deceive all they like, but there is no hiding the fact that they’ll always look out for the top end of town at the expense of ordinary Australians and the services they rely on.

The Liberals should just come clean about how much they’re spending on tax cuts for people in the highest tax bracket and, while they’re at it, spell out the cuts they’ll make to schools and hospitals to pay for it.

We need real change – because more of the same isn’t good enough.

End the chaos. Vote for change. Vote for Labor.
