New analysis from the ABC has confirmed the Government’s own data, which shows the Liberals inadequate Emissions Reduction Fund has failed, and will continue to fail, to reduce carbon emissions.
The analysis shows that the program has already flat lined, while carbon emissions across the economy continue to rise.
Yet, the Morrison Government is committed to wasting an additional $2 billion, on top of the $2.55 billion already allocated, on Tony Abbott’s failed climate policy.
Under the Liberals, carbon emissions have been rising ever since 2014 in spite of the Government spending hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ dollars on this failed program.
The Government’s own data shows Scott Morrison and the Liberals will miss the Kyoto target of a 5 per cent cut of emissions on 2000 levels. Instead, there will only be a 2 per cent cut.
In the quarter to December 2018 Australia’s carbon emissions rose 0.8 per cent.
And the most recent Government projections confirm that under the Liberals failed policies, carbon emissions will continue to rise all the way to 2030.
