NSW GOES IT ALONE ON WAGE THEFT AS MORRISON DITHERS

Another state is being forced to act on wage theft because Scott Morrison refuses to take responsibility and deal with this problem.

The Coalition has been in government for eight long years. There have been dozens of high profile wage theft scandals under their watch, with tens of thousands of workers ripped off.

Mr Morrison announced two years ago he’d do something about it - but as usual he hasn’t delivered.

And now Michaela Cash is somehow trying to blame Labor for the fact there are no national wage theft laws. You couldn’t make this stuff up.

Labor voted in the Senate last month to pass national wage theft laws.

The Government had the numbers to easily pass national wage theft laws through the Parliament.

Instead it threw a tantrum and tore up its own bill.

The Government decided to send a clear signal to wage thieves: keep it up.

Scott “I don’t hold a hose mate” Morrison is incapable of taking responsibility.

Now he’s apparently not even responsible for the way his own Liberal-National colleagues voted in the Senate.

It’s clear the only way Australia will get national wage theft laws to protect workers is by electing an Albanese Labor government.
