NEW APPOINTMENT TO THE WPIT EXPERT ADVISORY GROUP

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Walduck to the Welfare Payment Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT) Expert Advisory Group.

The group provides independent advice to the Government regarding the design and implementation of the WPIT Program.

The WPIT Program is transforming the way Government delivers welfare payments, and will replace the Department’s existing processes and systems that support the delivery of more than $100 billion in welfare payments annually.

Mr Walduck is the Executive General Manager, Trusted eCommerce Services and Group Chief Digital Officer at Australia Post.

Mr Walduck is uniquely qualified to advise on the design and implementation of this significant Government transformation, with over 20 years’ experience in leading and delivering large-scale business and technology transformation programs, building digital capabilities, and driving momentum for large scale change.

I welcome his skills and expertise to the group.

Mr Walduck replaces outgoing member Professor David Pitchford, who resigned in April 2017 to take up a role providing strategic advice to the Department of Human Services.

I thank Professor Pitchford for his contributions to the group. Professor Pitchford brought a wealth of experience from over 30 years in government and business, including leadership in business transformations.
